How To Use Samsung Wireless Charger

Wireless charging for your Galaxy devices

Imagine living in a world where there are no wires – thanks to Samsung wireless chargers, that fantasy is now a reality! Charge your phone simply by placing it on the charger with one of these chargers (sold separately). Samsung provides a variety of wireless chargers to meet your specific demands; for example, the Wireless Charger Trio allows you to charge up to three Galaxy devices at the same time, such as smart watches or earphones. Typically, you will not need to remove the phone’s case or cover, and you will be able to continue to use your phone while it is being charged.

It is important to note that when you use a fast wireless charger, fast wireless charging is immediately enabled.

With a wireless charger, charging becomes a breeze because there are no wires to get in the way.

  1. To begin, connect the wireless charger’s power adapter to a power outlet and the USB cable to the wireless charger. Next, turn on the wireless charger. When you connect the cable for the first time, the indicator light on the base will blink. As soon as you’re ready, put your phone or a compatible gadget (such as a smart watch or headphones) on the wireless charger. In order for the device to charge effectively, the back of the device must make contact with the wireless charger, and the device must be centered on the charger. Foldable phones should be closed with their backs towards the charging pad
  2. Otherwise, they will not charge. Removing your phone’s cover, especially if it is thick, may be necessary in some cases.

Galaxy devices that are compatible

  • Galaxy Note phones include the Galaxy Note20 5G, Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, Note10+, Note10, Note9, Note8, and Note 5
  • Galaxy S phones include the S21 series, S20 series, S10 series, S9 series, S8 series, S7 series, and S6 series
  • And iPhones include the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Galaxy Z Fold, Z Fold2, Z Fold3, Z Flip, Z Flip 5G, and Z Flip3 are examples of foldable smartphones. The following are the Galaxy Buds Pro, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds2, and Galaxy Buds models from Samsung: Note: Galaxy A series devices are not compatible with wireless charging. Samsung smart watches include the following models: Samsung Galaxy Watch4, Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Classic, Samsung Watch, Galaxy Watch3, Samsung Watch Active, and Samsung Watch Active2
  • Samsung smart watches include the following models:

A red light appears on your wireless charger, but what exactly does it represent is unclear. This section contains an explanation of the different indicator lights and what they mean:

  • Flashing Red: The phone is not charging correctly because it is not in the appropriate position on the charger. When the phone is withdrawn from the wireless charger or when the wireless charger is not connected to a power outlet, the indicator is turned off.
  1. The cable should be disconnected from the wireless charger and reconnected if the indication light does not function as indicated in this section. Depending on the phone or the wireless charging cover, the indicator light may function in a different manner. Some wireless charger devices, for example, may have a variety of various indication light colors.

If your wireless charger isn’t working properly, there’s frequently a simple solution, such as removing a bulky phone cover from the device. Take a look at the following ideas to make your charger perform more efficiently:

  • It is possible that the gadget will not charge properly if it is put incorrectly on the charging surface. Make certain that your smartphone is positioned in the middle of the charging station and that there are no impediments. The rear of the gadget should make contact with the charger. If your phone is protected by a thick case, wireless charging may not be as effective as it could. It should be removed before placing your phone on the wireless charger if necessary. In order to use the wireless charger with a headset connected to your phone, you must place the phone in landscape mode on the charger. It is possible that the phone will not charge if you hold it in a portrait orientation. If you use the wireless charger in a location where network signals are poor, you may experience network reception problems. In the event that your phone is linked to another charger or USB cord, the wireless charging capability may not function properly. Inspect to ensure that the wireless charger is connected to a functioning power outlet or power source.

Android Wireless Charging Not Working? Here’s The Fix!

How Does Wireless Charging Work?

Inductive wireless charging is a method of charging your phone that does not require any cumbersome cords. Qi wireless charging stations are compatible with the vast majority of Android phones released in the previous few years. Qi is the wireless charging standard that is used by the majority of firms to ensure interoperability. All that is required is that you connect in the charging pad and place the phone on top of it. The procedure makes use of electromagnetic induction to charge the battery of your Android phone.

Because of the electromagnetic field formed by the pad, electricity is sent to your phone, allowing it to charge its battery.

Initial Troubleshooting

Charge your phone without the use of cumbersome cords with inductive wireless charging. Qi wireless charging stations are compatible with the vast majority of Android phones manufactured in the previous few years. For the sake of interoperability, most firms have agreed on the wireless charging standard known as Qi (Quick Charge). Nothing more than plugging in the charging pad and resting the phone on top of it is required! Charge the battery of your Android phone with the use of electromagnetic induction.

To charge your phone’s battery, the pad generates an electromagnetic field that transmits electricity to your phone.

What If Wireless Charging Keeps Pausing?

When your Android phone stops charging every few seconds while you’re using the pad, it may be really aggravating. The charging pad may not be creating a clean connection with your Android device if this is the case. One easy solution to this problem is to pick up your Android and move it on your desk. Make sure your phone is directly in the center of the charging pad before starting the charging process. Another good approach is to wipe off both the charging pad and the back of your Android smartphone.

My Android Is Wirelessly Charging Slowly

This is a problem that may occur with any charger, whether it is connected or not. Check to see that your wireless charging pad is connected to a power source with adequate power to charge it. Try connecting the charger onto a variety of different outlets. When your wireless charger is linked to a USB connection on a laptop or desktop computer, this problem is more likely to occur. In order to charge a contemporary Android smartphone rapidly, the ports on these devices must be extremely powerful.

Enable Fast Wireless Charging

Some gadgets provide you the option of turning off this function. As a result, it may be worthwhile to investigate whether you need to re-enable it. This information may be found in your battery settings. The placement may differ from one model to the next. The charging icon may be found in the Settings – Device care -Battery and charging section of my Samsung phone.

If it becomes any more complicated than that, I might as well be typing in the Konami code into my phone. In any case, if your phone is compatible with rapid wireless charging, you should be able to find this setting in a similar location to the previous one.

My Android Phone Still Won’t Wirelessly Charge!

It is possible that having a case on your phone will prohibit wireless charging from functioning properly. This is especially true for casings made of metal or that are thick and heavy. Most cases are compatible with wireless charging, but if you’re still having difficulty, remove the case and try again. Ensure, however, that your phone is charging in a secure position in case it is accidentally knocked off the charging station. In addition, it’s conceivable that your charger is faulty. If you have only recently purchased it, you should contact the customer care department of the firm from where you got it to see if you may receive a free replacement.

One of our favorite Qi wireless chargers is theLETSCOM charger, which is about $7 on Amazon and is available in a variety of colors.

This phone comes with an interchangeable stand that allows you to either lay your phone flat to charge or raise it up like a dock.

It’s also conceivable that your phone may not enable wireless charging due to a technical limitation.

Down To The Wire

You should now be aware of what to do if your Android phone refuses to charge via wireless means. Enjoy not having to deal with a tangle of cords when charging your gadget! Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and if you found it useful, please forward it to someone else who may be in need of assistance in resolving the issue. Device layout

The wireless charger has the capability of charging up to two devices at the same time, including the mobile device and the Galaxy Buds charging coil.

Using the wireless charger

Putting the smartphone on charge

  1. Connect the charger to the wireless charger using the USB cable. When the charger is properly connected to the wireless charger, the indicator light flashes red, green, and orange before turning off
  2. Otherwise, the light remains on.

Only the charger (9V/2.77A) and cord that came with the device should be used. 2.Place the charging coil center (a) and the center of the compatible mobile device and Galaxy Buds on the charging coil center (b) (A). You can also use the wireless charger to charge the Galaxy Watch by placing it on the watch charging coil (B).

  • It is when the charging coil makes contact with the wireless charging coil of the mobile device, Galaxy Buds, or Apple Watch that the charging process will commence. Check the charging icon that appears on the screen of the mobile device and the Galaxy Watch to determine whether or not the device is charging. In order to determine whether or not the earbuds and charging case are charging, the Galaxy Buds’ battery status indicator is illuminated in different colors. If you set a Galaxy Watch on a wireless charging surface with both connecting straps attached, it is possible that the Galaxy Watch will not charge because the charging coil will not make contact with the wireless charging coil of the Galaxy Watch. When conductive materials are placed on the wireless charger, it is possible that noise will emanate from the wireless charger. Before you begin fast wireless charging, make sure that your mobile device is compatible with fast wireless charging. For further information, see the user manual for your mobile device.

Removing your smartphone or Watch from the wireless charger once it has been fully recharged is step three. 3. Taking safety precautions when charging a mobile device, Galaxy Buds, or the Watch

  • If you want to use a credit card or a radiofrequency identification (RFID) card (such as a transit card or a key card) with your mobile device on the wireless charger, make sure that it is placed between the back of the mobile device and the mobile device cover. When conductive materials, including as metal items and magnets, are put between the mobile device, Galaxy Buds, or Watch and the wireless charger, the mobile device, Galaxy Buds, or Watch should not be placed on the wireless charger.

A problem with the charging of the mobile device, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, or the Watch itself may cause the device to overheat or for the mobile device, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, or the cards themselves to be damaged. If you purchased a wireless charger, you may need to purchase a charger separately, depending on the model you purchased.

  • Place the mobile device’s center and the Galaxy Buds’ center on the charging coil’s center, and the Galaxy Watch’s center on the charging coil for the watch. Because of this, the charging pace may be reduced, or the batteries may not be charged correctly if they are not placed appropriately
  • It is not feasible to charge the coils that are in close proximity to each other. Adjust the location of your mobile device and Galaxy Buds in relation to the charging coil center in order for them to charge
  • When charging your mobile device and Galaxy Buds, or when charging two Galaxy Buds at the same time, be sure to leave as much space between the devices as feasible. In the event that you have attached a thick case to your mobile device, wireless charging may not function correctly. If your mobile device’s casing is very thick, remove it before connecting it to the wireless charger. It is possible that charging more than one device at the same time will slow down the charging pace. In the event that you connect a charger to your mobile device while it is charging wirelessly, the wireless charging capability will be disabled. When charging a Galaxy Watch, make sure that the Galaxy Watch is running the most recent software. If you do not have the most recent software loaded, the charging speed may be sluggish. If you use the wireless charger in a location where network signals are poor, you may experience network reception problems. Noise from the wireless charger may be heard when wireless charging is taking place. When not in use, disconnect the charger to save on energy costs. Because the charger does not have a power switch, you must unplug it from the electric socket when it is not in use in order to prevent power from being wasted. It is important to keep the charger adjacent to the electric outlet and easily accessible while it is charging.

Multi-device charging Charging the mobile device and Galaxy Buds Charging the Galaxy Watches Charging the Galaxy Buds Charging the mobile device and Samsung Galaxy Buds Identification of the indicator light The status of the wireless charger is shown via an LED indicator light. Disconnecting the charger from the wireless charger and reconnecting it will fix the problem if the indicator light does not function as specified. If you have a mobile device, a wireless charging case, Galaxy Buds, or the Watch, the indication light may behave differently depending on the device.

Which Samsung phones support Qi wireless charging?

Incorporating Qi wireless charging into their smartphones was a first for Samsung, which was one of the first major smartphone manufacturers to do so with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which were among the first models that supported the standard. Because of the enormous scope of the Galaxy product line, a lengthy list of Qi-certified gadgets has been amassed since the S6’s introduction. Samsung has also developed proprietary technologies on top of the Qi standard, allowing for quicker charging with their own-branded chargers.

As a convenience, we’ve produced a complete list of all the Samsung models that enable Qi wireless charging, which is divided into categories based on the wireless charging technique used and the maximum output power that can be expected from the device in question.

“All Galaxy models with wireless charging are also Qi-certified, ensuring that they will work with any Qi wireless charger,” the company says.

Up to 5 W (Qi BPP)

When using a Qi-certified wireless charger, all Galaxy models with wireless charging are capable of at least 5 W of power. The following devices have a maximum output level that is limited to this fundamental level. Edge S6S6+S6 S6 S6 S6 S6 S6 S6 The Galaxy S6 series was the first to provide wireless charging that was approved by the Qi standard.

Up to 9 W (with Samsung Proprietary Power Delivery Extension; PPDE)

When used with a suitable charger, the first generation of Samsung’s patented fast-charging technology produced a greater output than the second. The technology was finally supplied to the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), which is in charge of overseeing the Qi certification process, as an optional addition to the Qi standard as an extra, optional feature. All of the chargers in the Moshi Q Collection are compatible with the Samsung PPDE and can charge these devices at speeds of up to 9 W.
