How to Send and Get Text Messages on Galaxy Active 2
What is the definition of a smartwatch? As far as I’m concerned, it should function as a micro extension of your wristwatch, which means you should be able to complete certain aspects of your everyday tasks using the small device that is attached to your wrist. Small chores include responding to mails and text messages, as well as taking brief notes. Fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 performs admirably on all of these fronts and is nearly faultless in others. Not only can you send messages directly from the watch, but you can also personalize your responses by selecting different options.
If you have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and are still having difficulties with the messaging module, this guide is specifically designed for you.
Let’s get this party started.
How to Receive and Send Text Messages.
Step 1: On your phone, open the Samsung Wearable app and select Notification from the drop-down menu. If the toggle is currently turned off, turn it on. After that, scroll down and tap on ‘See all’ to see (you guessed it) all of the apps available. Select All from the Most Recent drop-down menu. Step 2:Toggle the switch for the Messages application on the next screen. In the majority of circumstances, the default messaging app is picked by default. When using another message app, such as the Microsoft SMS organizer (seeAndroid Messages vs SMS Organizer), you’ll have to manually select it from the drop-down menu that appears.
- Replying to the notification on your watch is as simple as tapping it.
- While Quick Responses perform admirably when it comes to sending short and concise responses, voice messages come in handy when you need to send out long and complicated messages that Quick Responses are simply incapable of dealing with.
- Once you’ve finished, click on the Send button.
- To send a quick message, scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap on any of the messages before pressing the Send button.
- Despite the fact that you can edit them, typing on that T9 keyboard (yes, just like in the olden days) is a bit of a challenge in and of itself.
Also, the T9 keyboard again makes a comeback if you want to craft out a message of your own. But considering the size of the screen of the Galaxy Active 2, I’d give that a pass.
Setting up Quick Messages
Quick messages, as the name indicates, allow you to respond to communications in a timely manner. And the good news is that you can use it to react to discussions on WhatsApp as well as other platforms. As previously said, all you have to do is tap on the message, and you’re finished. Fortunately, there is a method to tailor these messages to fit your own needs and situations. As a result, if your standard response is “Please allow me to get back to you on this,” it is totally possible. To do so, launch the Wearable app on your phone and select Notifications from the drop-down menu.
Select any one of the top messages and make the necessary changes before clicking on the Save button to save it.
Furthermore, by selecting the Edit Button in the upper-right corner of the screen, you may rearrange the order of some messages.
Advanced Notification Settings on the Galaxy Active 2
There are a plethora of notification options that you may customize to suit your needs. Whenever you get a text message on your phone, the Smart Relay function, for example, automatically launches the matching app on your phone. Under NotificationAdvanced SettingsSmart Relay, you’ll find this clever function concealed away. All that is required is that you flick the switch. You should also be aware that if you have enabled messages for other applications, you should already be aware that when you receive a message, both your phone and your watch vibrate at the same time in most circumstances.
The Mute Connected Phone app displays incoming notifications directly on your watch rather than on your phone, eliminating the need for redundant notifications.
To enable it, go to Notifications and choose ‘Show only when wearing’ as well as Mute Connected Phone.
Please keep in mind that calendar events and phone calls will continue to be routed to your phone number.
Don’t Miss Any Messages
In addition to the options listed above, you may turn on the DND or Good Night modes if you don’t want to be bothered at all. And if you’re interested in getting your hands on some excellent apps for the Galaxy Active 2, you can do so by visiting the Discover option at the bottom of the page. After that, it’s on to: What if I told you that if you have a Spotify Premium account, you can link your Galaxy Active 2 to it with ease? Learn how to do so by reading the following article.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 sending same text message multiple times
There are new updates being posted to the bottom of this story. …. The following is the original story (which was published on October 30, 2021): The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is one of the most capable WearOS devices currently available. Samsung’s return to Google’s operating system is marked by the release of the new watch. This year’s Galaxy Unpacked event saw the debut of the Galaxy Watch 4 series, which is the fourth in the series. It comes pre-installed with the latest Android Wear OS and has 16 GB of internal storage, which is ideal for individuals who want to save music on their smartwatches.
- Users, on the other hand, have reported a number of glitches and difficulties, with some reporting that it was unable to link the watch to Google Fit, while others said that the heart rate sensor was not working.
- The problem appears to be limited to text messages sent using Google Messages and voice text messages sent through Google Voice.
- It is possible to see what the problem looks like by looking at the image below.
- (Source) When sending text messages with my galaxy watch 4 classic Bluetooth, my watch would frequently send duplicate texts when using voice text.
- It does not appear to do this on every text and appears to be completely random.
- Sometimes it will send the same text again 30 seconds to a minute after sending it the first time.
- It will occur at random points across my home, even though I have excellent cellular and WiFi service.
- (Source) I just sent an SMS from my Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 utilizing the speech to text feature, and the message was sent ten times.
- S10+ and watch 4 – both have been fully upgraded as of around 8 hours ago.
Because Google and Samsung have both refused to recognize the problem, it is very doubtful that a cure will be released anytime soon. However, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update this post as and when new information becomes available.
Update 1 (November 09)
05:45 p.m. (Indian Standard Time): An specialist in the Silver product has stated that the problem is now being looked into by the company. Unfortunately, they did not provide any other information. Update 2 (November 16)
05:18 p.m. (Indian Standard Time): According to a community manager on the support forums, the team has released an update that contains a comprehensive repair for the problem. New Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch: Can you read email and SMS Messages?
Thank you for your reply. I’m also sad that email and Samsung Pay functionality have been removed for iPhone users. In the case of the Galaxy Smartwatch, it appears as though @Samsung is not playing fairly, as this is not made apparent in any of their marketing or sales materials. The purchase of this watch is not recommended for iPhone users because it turns out to be much more of a traditional watch than a smartwatch. @Reynod: Ha! Thank you so much, in any case! I’m certain that I’m neglecting something important someplace.
I just don’t want to lose up on it because it is so wonderfully done and elegantly designed! I’m not a fan of the Apple Watch’s design, which has become a “they all look the same” product in my opinion. Once again, thank you for your contribution! Status No more responses will be accepted.
