- Fortunately, your Galaxy phone takes care of everything for you!
- If you’re going to be offline for an extended period of time, you may manually adjust the date and time settings on your phone.
Set the time and date automatically
Remember that using a mobile connection when going outside of the country may result in higher charges and taxes. For further information, please contact your network service provider. Automatic date and time setting is enabled, and your phone will utilize the information from your mobile network to calculate the date and time for you.
This implies that the settings on your phone will vary depending on the location you’re presently in or the Daylight Savings Time cycle in your time zone.
- Navigate to and open theSettings menu option. General management is selected first, followed by Date and time. In the “Automatic date and time” section, make sure the option “Automatic date and time” is activated. As long as your phone is linked to a mobile network, the date and time will be set automatically depending on the network’s settings
- However, if your phone is not connected to a mobile network, the date and time will be set manually. You may determine whether or not you are connected to a network by returning to Settings and then pressing Connections.
Please keep in mind that when Automatic date and time is enabled, the choices for manually adjusting the date and time will not be visible on the screen.
Set the date and time manually
Note: If the time and date on your phone are not accurate, many applications and websites may not function properly, and you may receive security alerts. Changing the date and time manually is useful if you are having problems connecting to a network or just want to set the time on your computer. When you choose a time zone that observes Daylight Savings Time (such as EST, PST, and so on), your phone will automatically change the time on the proper day, so you won’t have to worry about it changing the time manually.
Select General management from the drop-down menu, followed by Date and time.
Whenever the automatic time setting is turned off, choices for manually altering the time will be displayed.
- Choose a time zone from the drop-down menu: Select the appropriate time zone and geographic region. It doesn’t matter whether your phone is set to manual mode
- It will still automatically update the time during Daylight Savings Time based on the zone you choose. Decide on a date: Choose a date from the calendar and then press the Done button. Set the time: Swipe or type in the time you want to use, and then tapDone.
Please keep in mind that if you activate Automatic date and time again, the choices for manually adjusting the date and time will no longer show.
Use a 24-hour time format
Do you enjoy taking advantage of military time? If this is the case, your Galaxy phone provides an option to display the clock in a 24-hour time format instead of 12-hour time. Changing the clock back to a standard time is simple, and you can always change it back afterwards.
- Navigate to and open theSettings menu option. General management is selected first, followed by Date and time. To use the 24-hour format, press the next button. In this case, the clock will show up in military time! It makes no difference whether the time on your phone is set automatically or manually
- You may still use the 24-hour format. Alternatively, you can just hit the button once more to turn this function off at any time.
