Consult your product’s user manual to see whether or not it includes this capability. As a result, if your Chromecast is not connected to your television, the following are the particular procedures to follow in order to set up the device:

Plug in Your Chromecast

To begin using your Chromecast, you must first connect it to a power source. Connect the charging block to an electrical outlet by inserting the micro-USB cord into the Chromecast. Both of these things must be plugged in at the same time in order for them to function properly together.

Download the Google Home App

You will no longer be required to utilize the Google Home app every time you connect Chromecast to your TV. You will, however, require it for the first setup as well as any subsequent settings. Some of the processes are really simple, yet they are extremely effective.

Let’s get this party started.

Samsung TV Not Recognizing Chromecast

The fact that your Samsung TV is not detecting Chromecast might be due to a variety of factors. The following is a collection of straightforward solutions for troubleshooting.

Check Wi-Fi Connection

First and foremost, make sure that your Wi-Fi network is working properly. Chromecast will not function if the Chromecast and your smart device are not both connected to the same Wi-Fi network at the same time. Having more than one Wi-Fi connection saved on the smart device might make connecting to multiple networks a simple process.

Reduce Network Congestion

The Wi-Fi signal will be strained if there are several devices connected to the same network. Disconnect any gadgets that aren’t in use at the moment. Other wireless networks and Bluetooth devices can also cause interference, which can reduce the amount of signal available to run the Chromecast and cause it to malfunction.

Make Sure The Router Is Working

If the router is broadcasting on an incompatible frequency, the Chromecast will not be able to connect to the internet since it will not be able to communicate with it. Rebooting the router is a simple solution to this problem. To accomplish this, just disconnect the router from its power supply, wait 30 seconds, and then plug the router back into the power source once more.

Check For Firmware Updates

In most cases, Google updates are automatic; nonetheless, it is conceivable that an update will take longer than expected to reach your device. By visiting Google’s Chromecast Support Page, you can see if there have been any recent upgrades. If an update for your Chromecast is available, you may begin the upgrade by following the procedures outlined below. Download the Google Home app onto your smart device as the first step. Step 2: Verify that the Chromecast is operational and that it is switched on.

  1. On your smart device, choose theChromecasticon by tapping it.
  2. The version of cast firmware that is currently in use on your device may be found at the bottom of the page (Step 6).
  3. In this case, you have the most recent firmware upgrades because the firmware versions are the same.
  4. You may accomplish this by following the five steps outlined below: Step 1: Return to the Chromecast application.
  5. Step 3: Press the Restart button.
  6. Following completion of the update, go back and double-check the preceding steps to ensure that you are now utilizing the most recent version of the firmware.

If you are still experiencing problems after doing the instructions above, it may be necessary to perform a factory reset on the Chromecast. These procedures are outlined in further detail below.

Perform A Factory Reset

A factory reset may seem intimidating, but it is not. Rebooting the Chromecast will remove all of your installed applications as well as any personal preferences, but it will allow the Chromecast to start again with a fresh slate of information. To reset the Chromecast, simply follow these steps: The first step is to launch the Google Home application on your smart device. Step 2: Locate and connect your Chromecast device Step 3: Click on theSettingsicon. Step 4: Click on the ellipsis (the three horizontal dots) in the top right-hand corner to bring up the context menu.

Step 6: Press the Factory Reset button.

Call For Help

After attempting all of the recommendations above and still being unable to get your Chromecast to operate, you should contact the Chromecast support staff for assistance in fixing the problem. They will provide you with further in-depth troubleshooting options or assist you in determining whether the problem is a result of a factory default in the Chromecast.

Samsung TV Chromecast No Sound

You’ve gotten comfortable on the couch and are ready to watch your favorite movie or television show, right? Suddenly, the initial scene fades away, and there is quiet. You easily go from a relaxed to a tense state. If this is something that is occurring to you, here are some recommendations to attempt to get you back on the sofa and resting again. 1. If the Chromecast is displaying an image but no sound is emanating from it, check to be that the Chromecast adapter is correctly inserted into the computer.

Sometimes the most straightforward approach is the best one.

It’s likely that when attempting to get the Chromecast to operate, the mute button was accidentally pressed by accident.

Samsung TV Chromecast No Signal

Chromecast allows you to view whatever that is currently shown on the screen of your smart device on your television. If your Samsung TV Chromecast is not transmitting a signal, follow these steps to ensure that the Chromecast is properly functioning. The Chromecast is getting power and is functioning properly if the LED light on the side of the Chromecast illuminates when it is plugged into a power source (the power cable and adapter that came with the Chromecast). ● Check to ensure that the HDMI setting on the television is the proper one.

If the Chromecast is unable to establish a connection with your Samsung TV, restarting the Chromecast may be necessary.

In the preceding section of this article, we discussed the processes involved in this procedure. It may be necessary to contact the Chromecast support staff if resetting the device does not resolve the problem on its own.

Chromecast Samsung TV Black Screen

The only time you should be looking at a black screen is when you are sitting in a movie theater waiting for the movie to begin. A blank screen in one’s own house is not a sight to behold. If your Samsung TV Chromecast is only providing you with a black screen, use the troubleshooting steps listed below to resolve the issue.

Check Your HDMI Setting

By clicking the Source, Input, or Menu buttons on your remote, you may see what the HDMI settings are.

Try Rebooting

• Unplug the television from its power source (disconnecting the Chromecast from the HDMI source will not restart it) • Leave the television disconnected for 60 seconds • Plug it back in Reconnect the power cord

Make Sure The USB Port Is Functional

To test the USB port, try plugging in another electrical item to the socket and seeing whether there is a charge on the other end.

Samsung TV Chromecast Not Supported

Don’t be alarmed if you see a notice stating that Chromecast is not supported. There might be a variety of causes for this, all of which are readily remedied. Check to see that your television and smart device are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network as a simple solution.

Check Your Router

Try watching anything from another app, such as YouTube, on your smart device to see whether the router is down. If the video begins to play, you have successfully established a connection to the internet. If you need to reset your router, simply follow the procedures outlined above to do so.

Check Available Memory Space

If your smart gadget is more than a few years old, it may not have enough memory space. Delete any programs that are no longer in use. Utilizing online storage for music files, movies, and images can help you free up more space on your device’s internal storage. It is possible that your smart device will require the cache memory to be emptied as well. If an app is used frequently, the cache memory may get full, resulting in its inability to be used. To do a cache memory clean-up, follow the procedures outlined below: Step 1: Navigate to the Settings menu on your smart device.

Step 4: Use the scroll bar to find the app you wish to clear up.

Step 6: SelectClear Data from the drop-down menu.

Step 8: Restart Chromecast and see whether it works this time.

The Smart Device Is Outdated

If your tablet or other smart gadget has been running wonderfully for years, it is easy to forget that the hardware within might become old. Many of today’s newest apps require frequent upgrades to run effectively. Because of its age and lack of manufacturer support, your present operating system may be unable to keep up with these upgrades. If your smart device is no longer supported, your Samsung TV Chromecast will not function. If your smartphone is over a year old, the operating system may be out of date, and newer versions of apps may not be compatible with it.

To be honest, the only way to get around this difficulty is to upgrade your smartphone. When purchasing a new smart device, make certain that it is capable of supporting Chromecast.

Frustrating, aggravating and annoying

This app has the potential to be extremely aggravating and irritating. Some of the time it works wonderfully, but the majority of the time it simply shuts off during the beginning, middle, and/or conclusion of your show’s viewing, which causes another issue. Even if everything is working perfectly, you must “Cast – Stop – Cast” every time. It has never cast and continues to fail to cast on the first try. You must always cast it after closing the add and selecting “no please try again” before it will cast.

  1. Then you have to restart the app and look for your program all over again, which is simply too much trouble.
  2. Not to mention that every time you get it casting again, you have to fast forward to the point when it stopped working.
  3. I figured it was past due to provide you with an update.
  4. It wasn’t even necessary to do anything different or make any adjustments.
  5. I still have to cast the show three times (cast, stop, cast) before it will cast correctly the first time.
  6. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.
  7. Please also make an effort to move your wifi access point (or router) closer to both your reception device and your transmitter device in order to improve the signal quality.
  8. Important: Please keep in mind that a low battery in your smartphone might potentially result in an inaccurate transmission.
  9. Four, please have a look at the training videos and FAQs contained inside the app, and read the official setup and troubleshooting guidelines given by the maker of your television or casting device.

Please include details about the sending device (for example, an iPhone 7 running iOS 11.1) and the receiving device (for example, an iPad Pro running iOS 11.1). (example Samsung model xyz). Thank you so much in advance for your consideration. We would much appreciate hearing from you.

Difficult to start but once you get the hang of it

I downloaded the app for the iPhone version, and it was a little tough to figure out how to use it at first, but after I did, it was no issue. The reason why people are so negative is beyond me. Yes, it was challenging to get started, but after I figured it out, it was easy sailing from then on out. I’m simply wondering whether it has anything to do with the attention span of today’s millennials. They want everything completed as soon as possible. Oh, no, I’m sorry, they insisted on it being done right away.

  • When it is shown on television, it is at the lower end of the high definition spectrum.
  • I’m currently attempting to find out how to play the videos I’ve stored on my phone; certainly, someone could teach me, but it’s preferable if I figure it out on my own.
  • We are delighted that you find our software useful.
  • Please also make an effort to get your wifi access point (or router) closer to your streaming device and your iOS device in order to strengthen the signal.
  • In such instances, please make every effort to reduce the resolution of the media.
  • This has the potential to result in inaccurate transmission.
  • Please make sure that your phone is connected to your Cast device.
  • If this is the case, touch on the green-edged video again.
  • We would much appreciate hearing from you.

Needs lots of work

This application does not function as planned. To view Home movies taken on my iPhone and screen share or project them to a Samsung smart TV – something that *should* be as simple as FaceTime – was my intention when I purchased the device. Wrong! As soon as you go to your video and start playing it, the app will disconnect from the television, so there’s no hope for you there. Second option: Navigate to your home video by selecting it from the app’s menu. It informs you that the free version of the program will only allow you to see the past three videos you have taken!

  1. So I tested one, and the consequence was that there was no sound, and the video did not rotate to match the direction of the Home video, as expected.
  2. In addition, the app must upload your video to a web service in order to “optimize” it, which means they now have a copy of your material on their servers.
  3. The term “screen casting” or “screen mirroring” does not apply here.
  4. In addition, the entire “input IP address” crap is the worst agony in the world.
  5. It should be as simple as using FaceTime to communicate.
  6. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on our app.
  7. I just wanted to let you know that we made some improvements to the app in the most recent update.

We would also want to assist you with the following issues: (1) “Connection” – Please make certain that you have a reliable internet connection at all times (both your iOS device and the receiver device).

Please make sure that your phone’s energy-saving mode is not engaged before continuing.

(2) “No sound” – Videos may be played without audio if the device does not support the audio format being used in the video.

Try to find the video in a different format if that doesn’t work, and then try again.

Alternatively, you may manually rotate your video before streaming it by editing it in a third-party video editor before uploading it.

We are already hard at work on a TV Mirror for Samsung application.

The option to “optimize local videos” is only available for a limited time on your device and does not preserve the videos.

We do not receive a copy of your material.

(6) “IP address” – We apologize for any trouble this may have caused.

If you are still experiencing difficulties with the app, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
