Best Samsung phones to buy for 2022

Samsung’sGalaxy Z Fold 3andZ Flip 3are the company’s newest attempts at folding phones, while the more conventionally shapedGalaxy S21 Ultradisplays the company’s high-end specifications and impressive cameras. Samsung, on the other hand, isn’t only a premium phone manufacturer; its more cheap phones, such as the S20 FE, deliver excellent performance at a lesser cost. There is certainly a Galaxy phone for everyone in Samsung’s lineup, regardless of their preferences – from foldables to regular slab phones on a tight budget, to name a few examples.

For your convenience, I’ve gathered all of Samsung’s current flagship smartphones in one place so you can figure out which one could be the greatest fit for your needs and requirements.

You should choose the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra if you are serious about capturing fantastic shots with your phone, or if you simply want to know that you are wearing the latest and best technology tucked into your pants.

CNET image courtesy of Andrew Hoyle The Samsung Galaxy S20 series from last year was excellent, but the pricing of the entire range was too expensive, making it out of reach for many consumers.

We were so impressed with the final product that we gave it the coveted CNET Editors’ Choice award.

This Samsung smartphone, on the other hand, is powered by the same CPU, has a larger battery, and still boasts 5G connection.

CNET photo by Sarah Tew Although it has a more affordable starting price, the basic Galaxy S21 is a fantastic mix of Android phone performance and affordability that CNET reviewer Patrick Holland referred to as “the no-brainer upgrading phone.” Although it lacks the zoom capabilities of the Ultra’s camera, this smartphone is still capable of producing excellent photographs and boasts the same strong CPU as the Ultra as well as a large, colorful screen display.

  1. In addition, it is capable of taking use of very fast 5G speeds if necessary.
  2. CNET image courtesy of Andrew Hoyle Samsung’s Note series has traditionally been where the company’s most cutting-edge technology is found, and the Note 20 Ultra in 2020 will be no exception to that rule.
  3. Because of the S-Pen pen, this smartphone is excellent for taking notes, making it an excellent choice for the more business-oriented among you who want a phone that can be used for both work and pleasure.
  4. Angela Lang is a contributor to CNET.
  5. It’s still a Samsung gadget that is effectively a tablet that can be folded in half to become a phone, but this smartphone has a better hinge, better specifications all around, 5G connection, and a larger display on the exterior that makes it useable as a phone instead of just a tablet.
  6. Patrick Holland is a contributor to CNET.
  7. Although this Samsung Galaxy smartphone has a large display when opened, it can be folded in half to make a compact square that can easily be slipped into a trousers or jacket pocket when folded in half.

See our Samsung Galaxy Z Flip review for more information.

With a large 6.5-inch display, 6GB of RAM, a multiple back camera configuration (including a 64-megapixel primary lens, wide angle and macro sensors), and 5G connection, it is one of the most powerful smartphones available.

Samsung The A42 5G Android phone is positioned slightly below the A52 and has less RAM, as well as a lack of a macro camera and a lesser quality front-facing camera compared to the latter.

CNET image courtesy of Andrew Hoyle If 5G speeds are your top priority in an Android phone, but you don’t want to spend a lot of money, Samsung’s Galaxy A32 5G is the device to consider.

It doesn’t quite match the overall performance of the S21 series, but it’s a good all-arounder for the price range.

Even though it doesn’t have 5G, it does come with four back cameras, a 6.5-inch display, and a large 5,000-mAh battery that, given the minimal needs of the specifications, I anticipate to provide easily a full day’s worth of battery life.

The Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra from last year are still available through retailers such as Best Buy, and they’re still terrific phones in their own right.

Although there isn’t a significant difference in specifications, and some of the materials used in the S20 series are perhaps a little more luxurious, we advocate purchasing the most recent versions, particularly in this situation because it really saves you money.

Reasons to buy

+ The finest camera zoom available+ Design that is mesmerizing

Reasons to avoid

No microSD card slot, which makes it prohibitively expensive on any level. What a phone, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the company’s top-of-the-line premium flagship for 2021, and what a device it is. For the first time, Samsung has included S Pen functionality on an S-series mobile, allowing you to choose whether or not to use the greatest feature of the Galaxy Note line on your device. However, even without that, this is a remarkable device, with a fantastic quad-lens camera with a 10x optical zoom and capable of recording 4K video.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra also features a stunning design, with a smooth Gorilla Glass back that has a matte finish that appears better than the shiny Galaxy S20 series, and a curved edge-to-edge 6.8-inch screen on the front that wraps around the sides.

It also happens to have a high-end Samsung screen, making it one of the best available.

Of course, there’s a lot of power here, and while it’s clearly quite costly, the beginning price is actually lower than the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra was when it first launched. See our entire Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra review for more information (Image credit: Samsung)

The best Samsung phone for flagship buyers on a budget

Date of publication: January 2021 Weight:169 Dimensions: 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9 mmOS:Android 11 Dimensions: 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9 mm Screen resolution: 6.2 inches 1080 x 2400 pixels is the resolution. Reasons to buy

+ A fantastic, multi-purpose camera+ It is less expensive than the Galaxy S20.

Reasons to avoid

– There is no support for microSD cards. – The screen is not the finest. However, even though the Samsung Galaxy S21 is the most basic and inexpensive model in the Galaxy S21 lineup, it has a lot going for it that goes beyond its low price. In addition to the three primary lenses that we’d expect from a high-end smartphone — a primary lens, telephoto, and ultra-wide – the triple-lens camera offers a wide range of other options as well. They all function admirably as well. AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and high-end power are also included, as is a long battery life and an AMOLED screen with high-end power.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is not only the most affordable phone in the lineup, but it’s also a step down in price from its predecessor, making it an even better deal.

The best Samsung phone if you don’t need Ultra excess

Date of publication: January 2021 Weight:200g The following are the dimensions: 161.5 x 75.6 x 7.8mm Android 11 is the operating system. Screen resolution: 6.7 inches 1080 x 2400 pixels is the resolution. Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 processors RAM:8GB 128GB / 256GB of internal storage Battery:4,800mAh 12MP + 64MP + 12MP on the back camera Front-facing camera: 10 Megapixels

Reasons to buy

+ Beautiful new design+ Outstanding performance

Reasons to avoid

– There is no support for microSD cards (but justified) The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus is the least fascinating of the three Samsung Galaxy S21 models since it lacks the sheer excess of the Galaxy S21 Ultra while also costing a significant amount more than the Samsung Galaxy S21, yet it is still a top-tier device. Because of its bigger screen (6.7 inches) compared to its cheaper sister, it is more expensive. It also has a glass back, whereas the normal Galaxy S21 has a plastic back. A bigger 4,800mAh battery is also included, albeit the additional battery capacity is not required due to the larger display on this model.

It’s obviously costly, especially considering the display’s resolution of just 1080 x 2400, and the lack of a microSD card slot means you’ll probably want to spring for the 256GB variant, but these are minor gripes about what is otherwise an amazing phone.

The best Samsung phone for stylus fans

Release date is set for August 2020. Reasons to avoid

– ‘Extremely’ expensive- Charging time is prolonged Although it is a beast of a phone with an even more beastly price tag, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has the specs to match, including a 108MP main camera, a 12MP periscope camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, as well as a massive 6.9-inch 1440 x 3088 AMOLED screen with 496 pixels per inch and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. But the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra doesn’t stop there; it also distinguishes itself from competitors owing to its S Pen pen, which allows you to draw on the screen while recording voice notes, sync voice recordings with handwritten notes, and more.

Which one you acquire will depend on where you are in the globe, although they are both extremely strong regardless of location.

Even though the price is the most significant deterrent for many people, if you have the means and desire all of what the Note 20 Ultra has to offer, it is an excellent pick.

Expensive and time-consuming-Charging takes longer. Although it is a beast of a phone with an even more beastly price tag, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has the specs to match, including a 108MP main camera, a 12MP periscope camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, as well as a massive 6.9-inch 1440 x 3088 AMOLED display with 496 pixels per inch and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra distinguishes itself from competitors by including a S Pen pen, which allows you to draw on the screen, sync voice recordings with handwritten notes, and perform other tasks with your phone.

This is dependent on where you are in the globe, but they are both extremely strong no matter which you choose.

The most significant drawback is the price, but if you have the cash and want all that the Note 20 Ultra has to offer, it’s a terrific pick. Read the rest of our Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra review to find out more information (Image credit: Samsung)

Reasons to buy

+ Finally, support for the S Pen. Design that is more durable

Reasons to avoid

– Cameras may be improved, but they are still quite pricey. Thanks to compatibility for the S Pen pen, which makes it an excellent device for drawing and calligraphy, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the greatest folding phone Samsung has released to yet. Fortunately, the gigantic 7.6-inch foldable screen, which we found large enough for even spreadsheet work, assists in this endeavor. Our review unit’s display was a little more cramped than the 6.2-inch cover panel, but both displays had a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes them comfortable to engage with.

When you combine it with a top-tier processor, you get what is virtually an ideal foldable – but the expensive price is still a deterrent.

The best Samsung mid-ranger

– Cameras may be improved, but are still rather pricey. This year’s Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the company’s greatest folding phone to yet, owing in part to its compatibility for the S Pen pen, which makes it an excellent device for drawing and calligraphy. Fortunately, the gigantic 7.6-inch foldable screen, which we found large enough for even spreadsheet work, aids in this endeavor. Our review unit’s display was a little more cramped than the 6.2-inch cover panel, but both displays had a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes them both enjoyable to engage with.

Incorporate a high-end chipset into the mix and this is nearly an ideal foldable – albeit its hefty price is a deterrent.

Reasons to buy

+ Has the ability to capture excellent photographs+ Processor with lots of power

Reasons to avoid

– The pricing is not really ‘light’, and the look is cheesy. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is essentially a lite version of the Samsung Galaxy S20, although it keeps many of the greatest features of the Galaxy S20. The screen, camera, and chipset are the device’s standout features. The first of these is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz, which is silky smooth. The camera, on the other hand, is a triple-lens system that has a 12MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera, guaranteeing that all of the essential photographic bases are covered.

Finally, the chipset is either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or the Samsung Exynos 990 — the former is included with the 5G version of the phone, while the latter is included with the 4G version, although both are high-end processors in their own right.

The build quality may be improved, and the pricing could be a little higher, but the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is a true crowd-pleaser in every other way. See our complete Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition review for more information (Image credit: Samsung)

The best Samsung phone for those who don’t need the latest model

Expected release date: March 2020 Weight:186g The following are the dimensions: 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8mm Android 10 is the operating system. Screen resolution: 6.7 inches 1440 x 3200 pixels is the resolution. CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 / Samsung Exynos 990 RAM:8GB/12GB Storage:128GB/256GB/512GB Battery:4,500mAh The following cameras are available for purchase: rear camera:12MP + 64MP + 12MP + ToF 3DFront camera:10MP

Reasons to buy

+ A powerful but elegant design+ Zoom has been significantly enhanced.

Reasons to avoid

– Constantly increasing cost- Improvements are generally iterative While the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus remained at the top of our list throughout 2020, it has been pushed farther down the rankings now that the S21 lineup has been released. This is an extremely great phone, which should come as no surprise. The design hasn’t changed significantly from the Galaxy S10 Plus, but the majority of the other features have been improved. In addition to a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a more powerful processor is included, and the camera performance has been significantly improved.

However, there are also 12MP primary and ultra-wide lenses, as well as a depth sensor, to round out the package.

The best Samsung phone for small screen fans on a slight budget

Expected release date: March 2020 Weight:163g 15.11.7.9.9.9.9.9.9.9.9.9.9.9.9. Android 10 is the operating system. Screen resolution: 6.2 inches 1440 x 3200 pixels is the resolution. CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 / Samsung Exynos 990 RAM:8GB/12GB Storage:128GBBattery:4,000mAh 12MP + 64MP + 12MP on the back camera Front-facing camera: 10 Megapixels

Reasons to buy

+ An excellent camera upgrade+ Samsung’s most impressive display to date

Reasons to avoid

• Expensive • Has the lowest specification in the range Even though it is slightly less thrilling than the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus and S20 Ultra, the normal Galaxy S20 is less expensive and has a more pocket-friendly size than the larger Galaxy S20 models. Despite the fact that it is 6.2 inches in size, this is not a little phone, and the display, which has a QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and is one of the highest quality AMOLED panels ever put on a phone, is worth mentioning. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S20 boasts a strong camera configuration that is highlighted by a 64MP telephoto lens that is accompanied by a 12MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor — the only thing it lacks is the depth sensor seen on the S20 Plus.

It is powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or an Exynos 990 processor (depending on where in the world you buy it). See our Samsung Galaxy S20 review for more information (Image credit: Samsung)

The best Samsung phone for stylus fans on a budget

Release date is set for August 2020. Weight:192g The following are the dimensions: 161.6 x 75.2 x 8.3mm Android 10 is the operating system. Screen resolution: 6.7 inches 1080 x 2400 pixels is the resolution. The CPU is either a Snapdragon 865 Plus or an Exynos 990. RAM:8GBStorage:256GB Battery:4,300mAh 12MP + 64MP + 12MP on the back camera Front-facing camera: 10 Megapixels

Reasons to buy

+ Three cameras with a lot of flexibility+ S-Pen is as wonderful as it has always been.

Reasons to avoid

For a phone with a plastic back, it is prohibitively expensive. It also only has a 60Hz display. It is less interesting than the Note 20 Ultra, but it is still an excellent device. In fact, given its plastic back and FHD+ screen, it feels a little less quality than you might expect from a device in the Note series, but it’s still a good option if you’re looking for a reasonably priced phone that includes a S Pen. And this phone offers much more than simply the S Pen as a selling point. Thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus or Samsung Exynos 990 CPU (depending on area), and its 8GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 is also a high-end device.

Despite its lower specifications, this is still a prohibitively expensive smartphone, but if you can’t afford the Note 20 Ultra but want something newer than the Note 10, this is a reasonable alternative.

The best budget Samsung phone

The film will be released in March 2021. Weight:189g Dimensions: 154.9 x 75.1 x 8.4 mmOS:Android 11 Dimensions: 154.9 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm Screen resolution: 6.5 inches 1080 x 2400 pixels is the resolution. CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G RAM:6GB Storage:128/256GB Battery:4,500mAh Cameras on the back: 64MP + 12MP + 5MP + 5MP Front-facing camera: 32 Megapixels

Reasons to buy

+ It’s a well-built device with a good display.

Reasons to avoid

– Power is mediocre; there is little enthusiasm. The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is a fairly functional mid-range device that doesn’t offer anything particularly exciting. However, with a high-refresh rate screen and a stronger back camera than other models in the A series, you’ll enjoy what it can accomplish. Also included is 5G connection at a reasonable price, as well as a strong design that, while it may appear to be a touch flimsy, is both durable and usable. Obviously, the Super AMOLED screen is the primary attraction here, as it looks really stunning when viewing videos, which is why streaming enthusiasts should take note of this device.

How we tested

We only include phones in our guide that have undergone a thorough evaluation, ensuring that each entry has been thoroughly tested. The results of each model’s comparison to other Samsung phones, as well as the overall smartphone landscape, may be relied upon with confidence.

As well as considering the review score, we take into account the specifications of a phone, how well it all comes together in practice, how much it costs, whether it represents excellent value for money, and how it compares to the competition.

What should I look for when buying?

Different aspects are essential to different people, but for many customers, the price, the screen size, and the battery life are the most crucial factors to consider. Then think about what else is important to you in a phone – whether it’s the power, the camera, or anything else – and focus on buying something that’s good for what you need it for.

Do I need a high-end handset?

For example, Samsung offers phones at a variety of pricing points, so if you’re a light user who only uses the web browser, social media, and a few simple apps, you won’t need to spend much money on a phone from the company. Those looking for the best of everything, including a brilliant camera and the processing ability to handle demanding games, should choose a high-end smartphone.

The best Samsung phones: High-end, mid-range, and entry-level models

Submitted by Adam Molina of the Android Authority Samsung is, without a question, the most well-known name in the Android industry, and if you’re in the market for a new phone, it’s likely that you’ll be seeking to purchase a device from the Korean giant. However, while it’s simple to say “buy a Note or the latest Galaxy S,” Samsung’s range is fairly diverse, with phones ranging in price from as little as $200 to as much as $1,300 or more. Samsung’s lineup includes phones with costs as low as $200 and as high as $1,300 or more.

It is at this point that we come in.

The pros and cons of Samsung phones

Android Authority is a project by Robert Triggs. If you’re in the market for a new phone, there are several reasons to choose a Samsung handset. For starters, you can expect frequent updates for a longer period of time than you can with a lot of the competitors. Software support for certain premium devices is guaranteed for three years by Samsung, and even the lowest-priced devices are given a solid foundation. You’ll also discover that there’s a Samsung gadget to suit practically any need or desire.

  • You may turn heads with a high-end foldable phone like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, or you can go for a phone like the Galaxy XCover Pro, which is designed to withstand the harshest of industrial situations.
  • Samsung provides reliable software updates, a beautiful Android skin, and a plethora of accessories – but all of this comes at a steep cost.
  • A new set of Galaxy headphones, the latest version of the Galaxy Watch, or just more charging accessories are available.
  • It goes without saying that if you purchase a newer Galaxy S-series handset, you’ll need to hunt for peripherals that enable USB PD PPS.
  • Another incentive to continue with Samsung is the One UI skin that they have developed.
  • You may choose whether or not to use Bixby, but the rest of the UI should be straightforward to navigate.
  • Despite the fact that the Galaxy S21 series has a lower beginning price than the previous generation, the entry-level Galaxy S21 still costs roughly $799.

For the S21 Ultra, which is the highest-end model, you’ll have to fork out $1,199 to take it home. You can obtain comparable phones for less money, regardless of whether you want a high-end or a mid-range gadget to replace your current one.

The best Samsung phones:

Imel, David (android authority.com) As predicted, Samsung’s Unpacked event in January saw the introduction of the Galaxy S21 family, which includes three models that will likely set the tone for smartphones throughout the rest of the year. You get everything you’d expect, and in the case of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, you get even more than you’d anticipate. Likewise, see: Buyer’s Guide for the Samsung Galaxy S21 The Galaxy S20 lineup for this year has three main devices, similar to the Galaxy S20 lineup from the previous year.

It’s not much of a difference between the S21 and S21 Plus other than their respective displays and battery capacities.

All three, on the other hand, are equipped with the same Snapdragon 888 processing stack, so you won’t have to worry about performance.

The basic S21 is currently available for as little as $799.

2. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Imel, David (android authority.com) In spite of the fact that Samsung’s Galaxy S family is the most popular line of smartphones, the Galaxy Note series always manages to elevate the experience, especially for those who enjoy using the S Pen. Both the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are excellent choices for those who have high expectations. The Ultra model, on the other hand, adds a great deal more to the table. Among its many features are an increased display with a greater resolution; more RAM; a larger battery; and an enormous 108-megapixel main camera sensor.

  • The Ultra’s display is also the world’s first to use Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus technology.
  • The phone is also water and dust resistant to IP68 standards, and it comes with an integrated S Pen pen.
  • If you’re looking to save a few dollars, the regularGalaxy Note 20is a fantastic choice because it offers the same performance as the premium model.
  • Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra:
  • Storage options include 128/256/512GB and a display of 6.9-inch Quad HD+. The SoC is the SD 865 Plus/Exynos 990, and the RAM is 12GB.
  • Cameras: 108, 12, and 12MP
  • Front camera: 10MP
  • Battery: 4,500mAh
  • Software: Android 10
  • Dimensions: 108, 12, and 12 inches

Eric Zeman is the founder of Android Authority. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is Samsung’s most recent foldable smartphone. In only a couple of years, Samsung has gone a long way with its experimental foldable phone, as demonstrated by this device. In comparison to prior generations, the Z Fold 3 solves one of the most pressing concerns: long-term reliability. In terms of looks and build quality, it’s a solid phone that won’t appear out of place as a daily driver. If you’re willing to spend a little extra money, that is.

  1. Samsung added an under-display selfie camera with the Z Fold 3, which is nestled away underneath the 7.6-inch internal display.
  2. However, it is encouraging to see Samsung take a risk and attempt something new.
  3. Our final conclusion: Review of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 engine, which is supported by 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and a 4,400mAh twin battery, just like the company’s previous 2021 flagships.
  4. Samsung has opted not to offer a new Note handset this year, opting instead to focus on its foldable devices.
  5. The cameras, if there is one disappointment, are it.
  6. However, it falls short of the performance of its flagship brothers and isn’t the worst camera package available at any price point.

At $1,800, the Z Fold 3 is $200 less expensive than the Z Fold 2, which was released at the same time. The Fold series is expensive, and it will take time before it becomes a popular choice for most people on the market. Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3:

The Android Authority is a project led by Dhruv Bhutani. Samsung’s other foldable device is the one that is significantly more affordable for the average customer to purchase. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is a continuation of the clamshell design of the Flip series, but it’s a much more sophisticated version this time. There is outstanding build quality throughout, and the external finish is beautiful. Additionally, you receive an improved 6.7-inch internal display. In addition, the external display receives a much-needed boost.

  1. Performance is also not a concern, thanks to the Snapdragon 888 processor and 8GB of RAM, which keep things operating smoothly.
  2. Likewise, see: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is reviewed in detail.
  3. There are two 12MP rear cameras as well as a 10MP front-facing camera on the device.

Imel, David (android authority.com) Even though the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is officially a part of the S20 series, the Fan Edition is distinct enough to get its own mention. In fact, it was the most reasonably priced sleeper success of the year 2020. With a stunning 120Hz display, bells and whistles such as an IP68 rating, wireless charging, and a trio of excellent cameras, the phone is a kitchen-sink experience. Despite this, it is the most cheap Samsung flagship model available. For the most part, it outperforms the OnePlus 8T if you are seeking for a more well-rounded product with substantially better cameras and a more extensive feature set.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, for the most part, provides greater value for your money in terms of software features and a decent feature set than the competition.

Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

  • Screen resolution: Full HD+ on a 6.5-inch display, Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.
  • Cameras:12, 12, and 8 megapixels

6. Samsung Galaxy A52 5G and A52s 5G

The Android Authority is a project led by Dhruv Bhutani. The newest additions to Samsung’s mid-range A-series smartphones bring the company’s 5G-capable series of devices closer to the target market. The Galaxy A52 5G is the device in the forefront of this charge. With the A52, Sony has followed up on one of the greatest mid-range smartphones available, with an even better follow-up. Samsung delivers high refresh rates to its mid-range devices, with the A52 boasting a Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Another useful addition is the camera system, which is highlighted by a 64MP sensor that produces excellent results.

The 4,500mAh battery is also capable of comfortably powering the device for a whole day and beyond.

It’s practically the same gadget, with the processor being the only significant variation.

There is no indication on whether or not the A52s will be released in the United States, but it is currently available on Amazon in India and the United Kingdom. Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G:

  • A screen size of 6.5 inches and a resolution of Full HD+ are provided by the Snapdragon 720G processor. RAM is 6 or 8 GB, and storage is 128 or 256 GB.
  • There are 64, 12, 5, and 5 megapixel cameras, as well as a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. The battery is 4,500mAh, and the software is Android 11.

7. Samsung Galaxy A42 5G

Eric Zeman is the founder of Android Authority. You may still purchase good Samsung phones with 5G capability if the Galaxy A52 is a little too pricey for you. The following two selections are both excellent choices. The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is the first device to be reviewed. It features a little larger display than the A52, measuring 6.6 inches in diagonal width. It also boasts a larger 5,000mAh battery, but only 4GB of RAM, which is a compromise. Other features include a 48-megapixel primary back camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, as well as a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

The pricing is the most important factor here.

Specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A42:

  • Screen resolution: Full HD+ (6.6 inches)
  • SoC: Snapdragon 750G
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • Storage: 128 GB
  • Cameras: 48, 8, and 2 megapixels
  • Front camera: 13 megapixels
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh
  • Operating system: Android 11.

8. Samsung Galaxy A32 5G

Ryan Haines of the Android Authority has contributed to this article. The Galaxy A32, which is yet another rung down the inexpensive Samsung phone ladder, has a 6.5-inch display with a dew drop-shaped notch up top for the 13MP selfie camera, which is a first for the company. On the inside, you’ll find an octa-core MediaTek chipset with 4GB of RAM. You can purchase this phone with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, as well as a microSD card slot for additional storage. A 5,000mAh battery powers the device and keeps everything working smoothly.

Among the features you’ll find are a main camera with 48MP resolution and an 8MP wide-angle lens, as well as a 5MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth camera.

It is presently available for purchase for around $300.

  • Input/output devices: 6.5-inch Full HD+ display, MediaTek MT6853 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage.
  • Cameras: 48, 8, 5, and 2 megapixels
  • Front camera: 13 megapixels
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh
  • Operating system: Android 11

9. Samsung Galaxy A12

Ryan Haines of the Android Authority has contributed to this article. If you’re searching for a Samsung smartphone that costs less than $200, the Galaxy A12is the way to go. It’s a significant improvement over its predecessor, including a bigger 5,000mAh battery as well as twice the RAM and storage. With a 48MP main camera on the back, the A32 and A42 have a camera arrangement that is comparable to that of their more costly siblings. It is understandable that this phone will not be able to compete with its more costly siblings in terms of performance and camera quality.

Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A12:

  • SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, RAM: 4GB, storage: 64GB
  • Display: 6.5-inch, HD+
  • RAM: 4GB
  • Storage: 64GB
  • Cameras: 48, 5, 5, and 2 megapixels
  • Front camera: 8 megapixels
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh
  • Operating system: Android 10

10. Samsung Galaxy A02s

Ryan Haines of the Android Authority has contributed to this article. With the Samsung Galaxy A02s, we make the transition from mid-range to entry-level terrain. This phone isn’t going to win any performance or award competitions, but it does have a few features that make it a good choice for anybody on a tight budget to consider. Even with HD+ resolution, the screen is rather wide, measuring 6.5 inches in diagonal width. Three cameras on the rear perform a nice job for a phone at this price range, and they are adequate.

After taking all of these factors into consideration, the Galaxy A02s is one of the greatest smartphones you can acquire for around $150. Samsung Galaxy A02s technical specifications:

  • LCD screen with HD+ resolution (6.5 inches)
  • Snapdragon 450 processor
  • RAM: 2/3/4GB
  • Storage: 32/64GB
  • Cameras: 13, 2, and 2 megapixels
  • Front camera: 5 megapixels
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh
  • Operating system: Android 11.

These are the Best Samsung Galaxy phones to buy in 2021!

In the realm of smartphones, only Samsung has a genuine chance of competing with Apple in terms of worldwide brand awareness and availability, as well as marketing and research & development spending. As a result, some people throughout the world are opting to purchase a Samsung smartphone instead of an iPhone. Thus, for better or worse, Samsung has become synonymous with the Android platform. However, the good news is that Samsung manufactures a varied assortment of goods that cater to virtually any demand.

And if you’re interested in other options besides Samsung, we also offer a guide to the best Android phones and even the best iPhones.

The very best money can buy: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is a foldable smartphone.

The following is the best option for individuals who desire a stylus: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra) The Samsung Galaxy M31 has the longest battery life.

Best Overall: Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

A stunning 120Hz WQHD+ OLED screen; intuitive software; fast performance; and a 10x optical zoom camera that produces super-sharp images up to a zoom of 20x, and even up to a zoom of 30x or 40x is still usable make the Galaxy S21 Ultra the most capable and well-rounded smartphone available right now. It also has every feature you could possibly want, such as wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, macro shooting mode, 8K video recording, and Samsung DeX, which allows the phone to be used as a fully working desktop computer when connected to a monitor or smart TV.

At $1,200, the S21 Ultra is not a cheap smartphone, but if you’re interested in mobile technology and have the cash to spend, this is a device that’s well worth your money.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

  • When it comes to the new Samsung Galaxy S21 flagship series, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is the ultimate overkill, carrying a flagship SoC, a premium construction, a brilliant display, an excellent camera system, and a slew of other features that you’d expect from a premium flagship.

Second Best Phone Overall: Samsung Galaxy S21

If the Galaxy S21 Ultra is out of reach for you, the smaller Galaxy S21, which starts at $800, may be a better option. Although the Galaxy S21 lacks the world-class zoom camera of the Galaxy S21 Ultra and has a polycarbonate back instead of Gorilla Glass, it retains a lot of the features that made the Galaxy S21 Ultra so special, including the striking camera module design, One UI 3.1, a really good ultra-wide camera, and the same zippy performance as the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Even without a Periscope zoom lens, the Galaxy S21 is capable of taking zoom images that are decent in quality.

The primary 12MP camera is likewise more than good, if a notch or two behind the best of the best flagship cameras on the market. We particularly like its size, which is not too big and can be operated with only one hand reasonably effortlessly.

Best Value: Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G

When it comes to features, the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) is a good handset that provides certain crucial aspects of a premium flagship while cutting costs in other areas – but they’re the appropriate corners to cut. Samsung has retained the stunning 120Hz Super AMOLED display, and it is now a flat panel, which is welcome news for many people. The Snapdragon 865 CPU used in this device was a flagship chipset at the time of its debut and continues to perform admirably now. In terms of design, this phone is pretty plasticky all throughout, albeit it does come in an array of vibrant colors.

Nonetheless, the 12MP primary camera and the ultra-wide camera are both capable of producing clear, vibrant shots, proving to be a strong combination.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE

  • The S20 FE, which is the newest phone on this list, may be regarded one of the greatest value options for the year 2020. With just a few minor concessions, like as a polycarbonate casing and a mediocre telephoto camera, you’re getting a device that’s virtually as good as a top-tier flagship.

Best that money can buy: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3

Samsung’s brand new Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone is the very top of the line in terms of performance and features. Not only is it the first foldable tablet in the world to have an official IP classification for water resistance and to include pen compatibility, but it is also the first device to feature an under-screen camera in a mainstream, widely accessible smartphone. With the Galaxy Z Fold 3, you’ll get everything we loved about the previous model, including a massive, beautiful 7.6-inch internal screen that’s purportedly even more durable than before, as well as a 6.2-inch exterior cover display that, with the Fold 3, now supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

More impressive is the fact that Samsung was able to cut the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 when compared to prior Folds.

Also Great: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

Although the Galaxy Z Fold 2 has been superseded by the recently announced Galaxy Z Fold 3, it still a highly competent foldable and one of the finest folding phones available at the time of writing. Many of the features that distinguish the Galaxy Z Fold 3 from its competitors — including as the magnificent huge internal screen, the distinctive form factor, and the powerful hinge — are also present in the Galaxy Z Fold 2. So comparable is the camera performance between the two models that it is hard to tell them apart.

If you’re looking for a truly nice foldable at a fair price, the Z Fold 2 should be reasonably priced now that the Z Fold 3 has been released.

Best Compact and Style: Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is one of the most aesthetically pleasing smartphones that have been released in recent years. We appreciate the two-tone finish, as well as the fact that it is small when folded up. Not to be fooled by its little size, however: the Galaxy Fold 3 is, along with this device, the most robust folding phone ever, thanks to IPX8 water resistance and Samsung’s new “Armor Aluminum” construction material. In addition, the screen is 80 percent more robust than it was previously.

You may use this phone whether you desire a fashionable phone or a gadget that will fit into practically any pocket. What’s the best part? With the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung has managed to bring the price down to make it the most affordable foldable phone yet.

Galaxy Z Flip 3

  • The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is a fantastic tiny foldable device that has excellent appearance as well as durability. It’s also the most reasonably priced folding phone ever created.

Best for those who want a stylus: Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Despite the fact that the Galaxy S21 Ultra can be used with the S Pen, it’s a bit of an afterthought for that device because the S Pen cannot be stored inside the phone, and the case that comes with a storage slot for the S Pen isn’t exactly the prettiest case in the world (although it is functional). In light of these considerations, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra continues to be, in our opinion, the ideal smartphone for people seeking a smooth pen experience. In addition to a primary camera system that has a 108-megapixel sensor, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra also includes a “Space Zoom” periscope camera that can capture sharp 5X images, decent 10X images, and images at a zoom level of up to 50X.

One feature that many people find appealing about the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the S-Pen, which, in addition to being a very good stylus, can also be used as a remote control for things like snapping hands-free photos or cycling through the phone’s user interface.

Because to the Snapdragon 865+ CPU and 12GB of RAM, performance is excellent throughout the board.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

  • Including an S-Pen, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the smartphone with everything. In terms of specifications, it exceeds all expectations – with the exception of a foldable screen – and the S-Pen is a game-changer for individuals who need to be productive on the go.

Best Samsung for those who want 5G on a budget: Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is a decent mid-range device that makes the necessary sacrifices in order to achieve its reduced pricing. A plastic construction replaces glass, and the camera’s zoom range is limited, but these are qualities that individuals on a tight budget would willingly forego in order to save several hundred dollars on their smartphone purchase. As a result, the Samsung Galaxy A52 retains its 120Hz AMOLED display, the competent Snapdragon 750G, and a powerful 64MP primary camera as well as a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera.

With this phone, you have the three pillars of what most people look for in a phone: an excellent screen, a reliable camera that does its job, and sufficient processing power.

Galaxy A52 5G

  • The Galaxy A52 5G is Samsung’s most recent smartphone, and it provides 5G connection at a lesser price than previous models. Those looking for a dependable collection of features but not wanting to spend a lot of money on a phone need go no further than this model.

In terms of making a general suggestion on which Samsung phone to buy, we find it difficult to do so. Obviously, the Galaxy S21 Ultrais the greatest all-around phone available right now, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3is the most flexible of the bunch. However, if you are looking to save money, the regular Galaxy S21 is still a very nice option.

Of course, Samsung’s affordable devices are capable of outperforming their respective price ranges. So, which one of these Samsung Galaxy phones is your favorite, and are there any more you think we should add to the list? Please share your thoughts in the comments box below.
