What to Expect When Connecting Galaxy Buds to Non-Compatible Devices

Despite the fact that Galaxy Buds can be used with the majority of Bluetooth devices other than Samsung phones, some features may be unavailable on devices from other companies. Because the Galaxy Buds are manufactured by Samsung, they are more compatible with other Samsung goods. Here are some of the Samsung-exclusive features that you won’t be able to enjoy if you use Galaxy Buds on a device that isn’t compatible with them:

  • Automatic switching between two Samsung devices: Automatically swap the audio input of your buds between two Samsung devices. One UI (Samsung’s own Android operating system) devices only have access to 360 Audio, which is an immersive audio profile. Buds Together: This feature enables you to connect two sets of Galaxy Buds together in order to listen to the same music. Essentially, it’s the same as Apple’s functionality that allows you to link two pairs of AirPods to a single phone. Mode of Operation: Bluetooth audio frequently has a tiny latency, resulting in slightly delayed sound. When in Gaming Mode, the audio delay is reduced in return for increased energy use. The Bixby voice assistant will not be available, but you will be able to utilize Google, Alexa, or Siri by setting touch inputs in place of Bixby’s speech assistant. When you open the case, the Galaxy Buds will instantly commence a pairing routine with a Samsung phone to which they are connected. Manual pairing is required for non-Samsung phones.

Because it is already engaged out of the box, you may utilize the active noise cancellation feature regardless of the device you are using. On the other hand, you can only change the noise-canceling strength using the Galaxy Wearable application for Android smartphones or the Galaxy Buds+ application for iOS devices. Neither the basic Galaxy Buds nor the Galaxy Buds Pro are supported by theGalaxy Buds+ app for iOS. It is only compatible with the Galaxy Buds Plus and Galaxy Buds Live models. It’s also worth mentioning that the Galaxy Buds app for iOS is a little behind the times when it comes to updates and support.

As a result, while you may still use your Galaxy Buds+ and Buds Live on iOS with all of its important functions, you can anticipate the app to be less polished than the Android counterpart.

Why Are My Galaxy Buds 2 Not Pairing?

Even while Bluetooth wireless connections are becoming increasingly reliable with each iteration, customers may still have sync and connection difficulties on occasion, despite the fact that the technology has substantially improved with each iteration. There are a variety of reasons why your Galaxy Buds 2 aren’t working properly.

How Do I Fix My Galaxy Buds 2 Connection?

The following are various solutions to the problem of your Galaxy Buds 2 not connecting to a phone, PC, or other Bluetooth-enabled device when you try to use them.

  1. Examine the area for interference. Wireless equipment, such as Wi-Fi routers, appliances, repeaters, and media systems, can cause interference and interruptions with one another and with their users. If you are attempting to link your Galaxy Buds 2 in an area where there are other wireless devices, it is possible that wireless interference is the root of the issue. Relocate the device you’re trying to connect to, such as your phone and the Galaxy Buds 2 earphones, to a different, more isolated area
  2. Turn Bluetooth on and off on the device you’re trying to connect to (restart). Bluetooth devices can occasionally misbehave, even if they were previously operating properly or were previously linked. Turn off Bluetooth once it has been turned off for at least a minute and then turn it back on. It is possible that this will resolve some more common difficulties by resetting the connection. Restart your device if it hasn’t already. Your phone or tablet may require a restart from time to time, in a similar way to how PCs must be rebooted to correct issues. If the Galaxy Buds 2 continue to refuse to connect, you now know that they are the source of the problem. Charge the Galaxy Buds 2 before using them. When using the Galaxy Buds 2 earphones, the battery level may be too low to maintain a stable connection. Clean the charging contacts on the earphones and the wireless charging case to ensure that no dust, dirt, or hair is trapped between them. Close the lid on the wireless charging case and place the earphones back in it for charging. Connect the USB wire to both the computer and the earphones to charge them. Always use a charger or adapter that has been certified by Samsung. It is recommended that you charge both the earphones and the case for at least 30 minutes before attempting to pair them. Reset your Galaxy Buds 2 using a soft reset. To begin, insert the Galaxy Buds 2 earphones into the wireless charging case and secure the top in a secure position. Wait for 7 to 10 seconds until the power is restored to the device. Returning to normal operation, placing the earphones in pairing mode, or taking them out of the case to have them connected automatically to a device with which you have already paired them is recommended. Charge the wireless charging case and Galaxy Buds 2 wireless earphones to at least 15 percent of their maximum capacity before restarting the computer. If the charging case has a red light on it, it indicates that it needs to be charged. The Galaxy Buds 2 have been factory reset.
