Here’s how to connect your Galaxy Smartphone to Galaxy Gear:

1. Firstly, you need to make sure that your Galaxy Gear is charged. Place it into the charging cradle, and connect the USB cable to the bottom of the cradle.

2. Before connecting the Gear to your phone, you need to make sure that both Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth are turned on. You should find both of these by sliding your finger down from the top edge of your phone, then tapping the Settings icon.

3. Once you’ve checked that NFC and Bluetooth are turned on, tap the bottom of the Gear charging cradle with the back of your Galaxy phone to launch Samsung Apps, prompting you to install the Gear Manager App.

4. Once the app has finished downloading, turn the Gear on. You should find the power button on the top right of your device.

Now that the Gear is turned on, all you have to do to pair your Galaxy Smartphone with Galaxy Gear is to tap your phone against the Gear charging cradle again. It really is that simple!
